| Machine Embroidery |
| An introduction to the many exciting possibilities of machine embroidery using straight stitches, zigzag stitch. Come away from the workshop with samples of surfaces that have been embellished with machine stitching.

| Explore the use of a variety of media such as xpanda print, transfoils, tyvek etc. Come away from the workshop with a variety of samples and knowledge of techniques that can enrich your own sewing / craft work. sewing machine is optional. Small additional charge for materials used.

| Needle Paint a Picture |
| ‘Paint’ a picture with your machine needle. Find out how to transfer a colour photocopy onto fabric and then create a stitched textile piece using free machine embroidery to ‘colour in’ the picture. This workshop requires a sewing machine that is either capable of lowering the feed dogs, or has a cover plate. If you are not, or have never done free machining then don’t worry, as class sizes are small the basics can be taught during the day.

| Skeleton Leaves Embroidery |
| Make 3D leaves from sheer fabrics and use a heat gun to burn back layers to create a skeleton leaf. Use the leaves to create a wall hanging or picture. Sewing machine required that is capable of free machining. (Don’t worry if you have never done free machining before, this is a good opportunity to learn!)
